Giant Eagle, US fuel retailer, relaunches myPerks loyalty program

The new myPerks replace fuelperks+ to provide customers with a more flexible way to earn and burn.

Giant Eagle has overhauled its loyalty program with the introduction of myPerks, a fresh initiative designed to allow customers to earn perks more quickly and redeem them in a more adaptable manner.

All customers of Giant Eagle currently enrolled in the retailer’s fuelperks+ loyalty program will be automatically transitioned into myPerks starting January 25. New customers joining the platform will immediately benefit from being part of a program that distributed over six billion perks in 2023.

Having launched its initial loyalty program two decades ago, the retailer has continuously adapted its customer value platform to meet evolving customer needs.

Justin Weinstein, Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer at Giant Eagle, remarked, “This latest iteration of our longstanding, popular loyalty program stems from listening to our customers and recognizing an opportunity to merge the strengths of our two programs to offer flexible, meaningful savings to all customers.”

Introduced to customers in Canton, Ohio, in November 2020, the myPerks program has since been made available for enrollment by all customers across the chain.

Today, the enhanced myPerks program stands out from its fuelperks+ predecessor with increased perks earning opportunities, enhanced perks redemption flexibility, and clear communication regarding customers’ redemption choices.
