GLOAt the Advantage Travel Partnership Conference in Costa Mujeres on May 16, Hickory Global Partners and The Advantage Travel Partnership announced their new joint venture accommodation program, ‘Global Stays—The Accommodation Network,’ set to launch next year.
This collaboration will merge resources from The Hickory Global Partners Hotel Program, which features 43,000 hotel properties in 71 countries, with The Advantage Global Hotel Program, which includes over 42,000 properties worldwide. The combined program will offer more than 60,000 properties globally, including over one million serviced apartments, and will have a total accommodation spend of $2.9 billion when it launches in 2025.
John Hobbs Hurrell, Head of Advantage Global Network, stated, “We have had a long and beneficial partnership with Hickory, and this joint venture strengthens our relationship further, providing a perfect platform to deliver significantly more hotels for our collective membership and more opportunities for our hotel and serviced apartment suppliers.”
The partnership aims to leverage the combined strength, reach, and resources of both organizations to enhance opportunities for their members, expand their accommodation offerings, and offer suppliers additional reach. The network will be available to over 1,900 travel management companies, corporate travel departments, and corporate clients across 158 countries upon its launch.
Chris Dane, President of Hickory Global Partners, expressed enthusiasm for the deepening relationship between Advantage and Hickory, highlighting the value this expansion will bring to TMC and MICE member networks and suppliers. He noted that the Global Stays program would feature all four rate codes (WYN, WYZ for Advantage, and HFH/EZR for Hickory), emphasizing the program’s role in adapting to the evolving travel marketplace.
