With more than 25 years’ experience at Choice Hotels International, David Beers takes over the reins of Choice Hotels EMEA from Jonathan Mills, the former CEO who stepped down earlier this year.

As the new Chief Executive Officer, David Beers will be responsible for driving the strategic growth and improving the financial performance of the EMEA region, which comprises almost 400 hotels in 17 countries. The company’s flagship brands in the region include Ascend Hotel Collection, Clarion, Comfort and Quality.

David Beers began his career with Choice 25 years ago in Canada, where he rose through a number of senior positions in sales, marketing and operations. Most recently, he held the position of Head of International Operations, where he oversaw the implementation of initiatives to improve the operational efficiency of franchisees and strengthen the company’s value proposition.

“I’m excited to step into the role of CEO for Choice Hotels EMEA. Being one of the largest hotel companies in the world, and with an ever-increasing portfolio across EMEA, we are committed to continuing delivering outstanding value to both our franchisees and guests as Choice has done for the past 85 years.” – David Beers, new Chief Executive Officer of Choice Hotels EMEA

“David’s leadership, operational expertise, and extensive experience with Choice Hotels International makes him the ideal person to lead Choice Hotels in EMEA as CEO. We are confident in his ability to lead our business in this region with dedication and strategic vision.

This leadership transition marks a significant milestone for Choice Hotels in EMEA as we continue to expand our market presence, enhance our product offering and improve our franchisee and customer experience.” – Ricardo Losada Revol, Senior Vice President & General Manager International.
