The event will take place at Sydney’s Westfield Chatswood Shopping Centre on 19 October from 11:00am to 5pm.
Visitors to the event zone can take part in a number of fun activities throughout the day and be in to win one of 260 flights and other prizes. Paul Carroll, Group Chief Commercial Officer for AirAsia Aviation Group said “ Asia is popular as an affordable destination for everyone wanting to still go overseas on a budget which AirAsia supports through great value fares. We know Australians’ love fan favorites like Bali and Phuket, but through this unique campaign, we want to show that there is much more to Asia and so many undiscovered gems across our network of over 130 destinations for people to try something new and go somewhere different.

“This week we have China on sale from Australia with our seamless FlyThru connecting services to destinations including Beijing, Chaosan, Shenzhen, Xi’an and more highlighting the breadth of our services to one of our biggest markets. We also have regular sales promotions across our network from Australia to Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, The Philippines, South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Cambodia and much more. The secret to securing the lowest fares is to plan ahead and book early because fares rise typically as demand increases, closer to the travel date. ”
There are two main activities for people to win prizes on the day**:
‘Bump up for Better’ is where people with existing international flight bookings can jump and tap the box of the country they would like to fly to next in the event zone to win the chance to secure flights to somewhere else. Destinations available includeJapan, Thailand, South Korea, The Philippines, India and Sri Lanka.
Those without any existing flight bookings can participate in the dance game ‘Dance to Win’ to flights, travel related gift cards by Klook*** and/or AirAsia merchandise. Entrants from 18 years and above simply have to dance their way through 45 seconds to up to one minute to secure a sure-win gift.
This unique event is part of AirAsia’s ‘Go Somewhere Different’ campaign featuring Asia’s hidden gems that the majority of Australians’ are unaware of.
Adding to the entertainment on the day, AirAsia’s Fun Team will be on stage at 12.00pm and 3pm executing their own high energy dance moves.
