Job Description
Issuing Solutions is a high-growth, multi-billion-dollar business unit within Visa’s Value-Added Services (VAS) organization. Our group is responsible for building & commercializing products that improve issuing bank processing and cardholder experiences.
Position Summary
The Senior Director for Global Loyalty Content will be responsible for sourcing and curating loyalty content for Visa’s global loyalty products. Content types could include offers from merchants and brands (both direct and affiliate), discounts and coupons on everyday spend and travel or affluent categories, experiences, and anything else that is relevant to Visa’s issuer and merchant clients. Everyday activities will include assessing industry trends, identifying global and regional content needs, sourcing high-value earn and redemption content for the Loyalty Platform, and leading the team delivering Visa’s overall loyalty content.
This is a critical position reporting to the Head of Global Loyalty Value-Add Solutions. This role requires strong internal client-management to support the full product development lifecycle, structured problem solving, project management, and communication and persuasion. This individual will be expected to lead large cross-functional engagements, handle multiple projects at the same time, manage a team, and present to senior audiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead all strategy for Loyalty content on Visa’s Loyalty Platform
- Be the accountable party for the costs to source offers, redemption, and experience content, develop business cases and qualify the markets and opportunities for the solutions, support the multi-year revenue growth goals from the other business pillars
- Ensure connectivity, relevance, and interoperability of content providers in multiple markets around the globe and present a compelling value proposition to Visa and our clients.
- Hire, manage, mentor, and retain a high-performing team of other loyalty product strategists.
- Engage effectively and build rapport across the Regional Value-Add Services teams, ensuring a smooth and effective go-to-market motion in each region globally.
- As needed, lead strategic projects (e.g., new market opportunities, product strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and GTM plans) with senior leaders within the Issuing Solutions organization.
- As needed, support key strategic clients and other parts of the Visa Product and Value-Add Service sales motions.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
Basic:
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred:
- 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
- You have 7-10 years of product strategy and delivery experience in financial services or fintech
- You have 5-7 years of revenue or Go-To-Market management experience for a multi-million dollar revenue product line
- At least 5 years of experience in Loyalty and Rewards businesses
- You have excellent strong structured problem solving and communication skills.
- Excellent project management skills and experience with influencing without authority in a large cross-functional team environment.
- Self-starter who is comfortable in ambiguous environments.
- Collaborative spirit and a knack for understanding and communicating stakeholder needs.
- Strong attention to detail and focus on articulating business minutiae and nuances in simple easy-to-understand ways.
- Previous client-servicing and people management experience preferred.
- Previous experience in financial services and-or payments preferred.
- Excellent analytical (qualitative and quantitative) acumen.
- Curious and inquisitive, with a strong desire to get beyond the what and into the why.
- Proactive and effective communicator, experienced in presenting information to all levels.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 191,700 to 262,950 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
