Etihad Guest and China Eastern Airlines marked a major step forward in their strategic joint venture yesterday during the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai, celebrating the upcoming launch of their frequent flyer partnership, set to go live on 1 June 2025.

Leaders and team members from both airlines gathered at the event to commemorate the progress of the partnership, which aims to enhance connectivity and elevate the travel experience for passengers flying between China, the Middle East, and beyond.

The new frequent flyer agreement will allow members of both airlines’ loyalty programs to earn and redeem points seamlessly across each other’s networks—a move expected to strengthen customer loyalty and open up greater travel benefits for millions of passengers.

Emirates expressed pride in the collaborative efforts behind the partnership, highlighting the contributions of Amandeep Barbara Kaur, Ibrahim Aref, Amol Surve, Lavanya Saji, and Sudeep Mokal, who played key roles in bringing the initiative to life.

The event at ATM 2025 showcased the ongoing alignment between Etihad and China Eastern, with both carriers reaffirming their commitment to deepening ties and delivering greater value to customers through enhanced cooperation.
