GLOHotel Communication Network (HCN), a global leader in AI-powered guestroom tablets and digital concierge solutions for the hospitality sector, has been named one of Canada’s Top 20 Moonshot Ventures™ for 2025. The prestigious recognition is awarded by the National Angel Capital Organization (NACO)—a federal agency dedicated to accelerating innovation and supporting capital access for Canada’s most promising early-stage companies.
Recognized for Disruptive Innovation in Hospitality Tech
HCN’s selection follows its participation in a closed-door showcase at the NACO Summit 2025 held at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa, where the nation’s most visionary startups across sectors such as AI, cleantech, healthtech, and space tech were introduced to top-tier investors and industry leaders.
Chosen from over 100 nominations submitted by leading incubators, angel networks, and accelerators, HCN was nominated by Keiretsu Forum Canada, the Canadian chapter of the world’s largest angel investor network. The company was recognized for redefining the guest experience in hotels through the deployment of its AI Concierge-powered in-room tablets.
AI Concierge: A Technological Breakthrough
At the core of HCN’s innovation is its AI Concierge, the first of its kind to feature a lifelike digital persona with full voice integration. This cutting-edge solution enables hotel guests to interact naturally with the system, access hotel services through voice commands, and receive personalized, real-time support—all from the convenience of their guestroom tablet.
The platform not only enhances guest satisfaction and operational efficiency but also introduces a revenue-generating, ad-supported business model, allowing hotel partners to subsidize costs and potentially benefit from revenue-sharing opportunities.
“Being selected as a Moonshot Venture by NACO is a significant milestone for HCN,” said Kevin Bidner, Founder and CEO of Hotel Communication Network. “It validates our mission to reimagine hotel communications using advanced AI while creating real business value for our partners.”
Backed by Global Investors and Canadian Innovation Leadership
The Top 20 Moonshots represent some of Canada’s most ambitious ventures, collectively raising over $190 million to date. HCN’s inclusion signals growing recognition of travel tech as a critical segment in the broader innovation economy, with the company standing out as a leading representative from Ontario.
“We’re proud to have HCN in our portfolio,” said Ozan Isinak, President of Keiretsu Forum Canada. “With backing from sophisticated investors across North America, Europe, and Asia, HCN has built strong momentum and is well-positioned for global impact.”
“These founders are shaping the future with courage and vision,” said Claudio Rojas, CEO of NACO. “HCN exemplifies how Canadian innovation is leading on the world stage by pushing boundaries in sectors that matter.”
A Path to Unicorn Status?
As part of the NACO Moonshot platform, selected companies were invited to present on the Moonshots Stage™ in TED-style talks to a curated audience of venture capitalists, corporate innovation leaders, and high-net-worth investors. HCN was highlighted as a top contender for future unicorn status in the travel and media technology space.
“We’re honored that Keiretsu Forum Canada sees us as one of the most likely to achieve unicorn status in our sector,” added Bidner. “This recognition fuels our continued mission to set new standards in guest communication, engagement, and digital hospitality.”
