GLOMTN Nigeria has launched the MTN Mega Billion Promo, a 12-week nationwide campaign aimed at rewarding loyal customers with significant cash prizes. The initiative also supports the company’s broader goal of promoting financial inclusion by integrating its mobile money platform, MoMo Payment Service Bank (MoMo PSB), into the prize distribution process.
A Nationwide Giveaway
Running for 12 weeks, the MTN Mega Billion Promo is open to all prepaid subscribers across Nigeria who are 18 years or older. The campaign features daily and weekly draws, with cash prizes awarded to thousands of participants. Customers stand a chance to win up to ₦10 million in a single draw, with ₦5 million awarded to lucky winners on weekdays and ₦10 million jackpots available every Saturday.
MTN expects to reward over 5,000 customers during the course of the promotion, with a total of 195 millionaires set to emerge by the end of the campaign.
How to Participate
To join the promo, customers must opt in by dialing a designated USSD code, sending an SMS, or using the MTN mobile app. Once registered, subscribers earn points based on their airtime recharges—every ₦100 recharge equates to one point. These points are then used as entries into the daily and weekly draws.
Participants can check their accumulated points and draw eligibility at any time using the same USSD code or app interface. Airtime recharges made before 5:00 p.m. qualify for that day’s draw, while later recharges roll into the next day’s entry.
Transparent Selection and Prize Delivery
Draws are conducted live from Monday to Saturday at 6:00 p.m., with results published by 7:15 p.m. Winners are notified directly via SMS and their cash prizes are deposited into their MoMo PSB wallets. To claim their prizes, winners are required to verify their identities and provide consent for potential media publicity.
The integration of MoMo PSB into the promo not only streamlines prize disbursement but also exposes more Nigerians to mobile financial services—supporting MTN’s push to expand financial inclusion across underserved communities.
Corporate Perspective
MTN Nigeria’s Chief Executive Officer, Karl Toriola, emphasized that the Mega Billion Promo is both a gesture of appreciation and a strategic investment in customer satisfaction.
“This campaign underscores our commitment to rewarding our customers while advancing our financial inclusion agenda. By combining entertainment with real economic benefits, we’re delivering meaningful value to millions,” Toriola stated.
Chief Marketing Officer Onyinye Ikenna-Emeka echoed this sentiment, highlighting that the use of MoMo PSB not only ensures secure prize distribution but also encourages broader adoption of mobile financial solutions.
Driving Customer Engagement and Inclusion
The Mega Billion Promo is more than a marketing campaign—it’s a vehicle for social impact. With thousands of Nigerians set to win prizes and interact with mobile banking tools, MTN is using the initiative to strengthen customer loyalty and boost participation in the digital economy.
The campaign also promotes transparency and public trust through live draws and clear participation guidelines, ensuring all customers have a fair chance at winning.
MTN Nigeria’s Mega Billion Promo represents a significant step in combining customer reward with digital innovation. By linking routine mobile usage to life-changing cash rewards and tying the experience to its mobile money platform, MTN is redefining what customer loyalty looks like in the telecom sector.
The promo is already drawing excitement nationwide, with thousands of Nigerians eagerly participating in hopes of becoming the next millionaire—powered by nothing more than their everyday mobile recharges.
