About the Role

Sam’s Club Marketing is on a mission to redefine what member engagement looks like—and we’re looking for a strategic, data-savvy marketer to help lead the charge. As Senior Manager of Retention & Engagement, you’ll architect and activate the vision for how we deepen relationships with our members across every touchpoint—from owned and paid media to site and in-club experiences. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams and agency collaborators to bring bold, personalized campaigns to life that drive loyalty, increase lifetime value, and help us achieve our ambitious goal of doubling membership.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the development of omni-channel strategies that drive member behaviors like category penetration, omni-channel adoption, and increased AOV—all in service of improving renewal rates.
  • Partner with Marketing Intelligence to identify high-value member cohorts and build segmentation strategies rooted in behavioral, attitudinal, and demographic insights.
  • Use data-driven personalization and innovation to deliver high-impact, high-performing campaigns across email, site, app, paid media, and more.
  • Monitor and optimize key retention metrics (renewal rates, engagement, 5-star metrics) to ensure we’re delivering measurable impact.
  • Design and execute robust testing strategies (A/B, multivariate) to continuously refine our approach and uncover new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Product and Tech to explore new capabilities and ensure marketing needs are prioritized in the innovation roadmap.
  • Present campaign results and insights with clarity and confidence—highlighting what worked, what didn’t, and what’s next.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • 6+ years of experience in retention marketing, CRM, customer segmentation, and personalization in a B2C environment.
  • A strategic mindset with a bias for action and results.
  • Strong analytical chops—you know how to turn data into insights and insights into action.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence across levels and functions.
  • A passion for innovation and a curiosity for what’s next in marketing tech and member experience.
