AmadeusBulgaria Air has strengthened its long-term collaboration with Amadeus with the expansion of its IT deal and the signing of a full content distribution agreement. At the same time, the Bulgarian flag-carrier will integrate a new digital platform from the travel technology innovator, opening up new opportunities.
As part of the IT deal Bulgaria Air will migrate to Amadeus Reference Experience, a modern, responsive and configurable interface which will offer travelers a bundle of self-service capabilities. The platform enables passengers to manage their flight bookings end-to-end, check-in and any re-bookings independently and easily from any device, such as a smartphone, tablet or desktop PC.
Additionally, the deal includes Enhanced Re-accommodation and Disruption Transfer. Both solutions are designed to work together to provide airlines with comprehensive disruption management while significantly improving the passenger travel experience. While Disruption Transfer enables fast, automated re-routing in the event of flight irregularities and proactively provides travelers with alternative options, Enhanced re-accommodation enables the re-booking of passengers to flights operated by the same or another airline, update of Passenger’s reservation and PNR in Amadeus Altéa Reservation.
Through the use of Travel Intelligence modules such as Traffic Analytics and Schedule Analytics, Bulgaria Air can make informed decisions based on market data and passenger flows. This enables more efficient route planning, optimized capacity utilization and more personalized offers for passengers.
Amadeus-connected travel sellers around the world will also gain access to content from the European carrier, including up-to-the-minute information on schedules, fares, seat availability and associated inventory.
“The collaboration with Amadeus is an important step in our digital evolution. With the new platform and its integrated tools for flight disruption control and market analysis, we can not only help our passengers faster, but also offer them a significantly more flexible, personalized and seamless travel experience with a higher customer satisfaction – from booking to arrival.” – Bistra Marinkova CEO, Bulgaria Air.
“As the transition to modern retail accelerates, Amadeus is pleased to strengthen its collaboration with Bulgaria Air. Our expanded cooperation is an excellent example of how innovative technology not only makes an airline’s operations more efficient, but also takes the passenger experience to a new level. With our solutions we are enabling Bulgaria Air to offer its customers even more control, convenience and personalization.” – Gwenaele Monboisset, SVP Airlines Central and Eastern Europe Airlines , Amadeus.
