Mandarin Oriental, Singapore unveils a creative collaboration with SHANGHAI TANG, the luxury fashion house known for reinterpreting Chinese heritage through bold, contemporary design. Hong Kong, 3 September 2025 – Mandarin Oriental, Singapore unveils a creative collaboration with SHANGHAI TANG, the luxury fashion house known for reinterpreting Chinese heritage through bold, contemporary design. Timed to coincide with the Mid-Autumn Festival, the partnership runs from 15 August to 31 October 2025 and introduces a series of experiences, with a limited-edition mooncake gift set as the highlight, themed afternoon tea, and a curated stay experience — echoing the nuances of both brands — rooted in tradition, yet unmistakably modern.

Shining the spotlight on this collaboration is the Moonlit Artistry, a limited-edition mooncake gift set presented in a vivid fuchsia box inspired by SHANGHAI TANG’s signature colour and iconic jewellery boxes. Adorned with the graceful bloom of ginger flower motifs, the design exudes a contemporary touch of chinoiserie. Each set features an exclusive pair of bespoke SHANGHAI TANG fine bone china porcelain dessert plates, showcasing intricate ginger flower patterns with gold detailing — one embracing open white space, the other fully adorned in florals — a harmonious interplay of boldness and restraint, echoing the spirit of classic Eastern craftsmanship. From design to plate, the SHANGHAI TANG-themed afternoon tea experience at the Lobby Lounge radiates a harmonious blend of floral elegance and Oriental allure. Inspired by the delicate beauty of the ginger flower, this curated ensemble of sweet and savoury delights unveils layers of floral essence and citrus notes. Highlights include the Jade Roll, a refreshing celtuce infused with osmanthus, and the Moonlit Zest, a cocoa nib choux bursting with zesty marmalade orange confit. Adding a touch of Oriental essence, the Pearl Granite seamlessly combines apricot and oolong tea, while the Tea Blossom features a Da Hong Pao tea-infused castella cake.

 

Paying homage to both SHANGHAI TANG and Mandarin Oriental, Singapore, the Tang Rose — a rose sablé with caramel coconut, and the Golden Fan, a decadent blend of espresso Chantilly cream, caramel and chestnut.
