IHG® Hotels & ResortsIHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG) has successfully wrapped up its annual flagship event in Greater China, the 2025 Global Customer Appreciation Week, held from September 8 to 14 under the theme “On the Move. Leading the Way, Together.” Through interactive, multi-brand experiences, the initiative expressed sincere gratitude to B2B clients for their continued partnership and support. Hotels across Greater China joined in with strong participation, connecting with hundreds of corporate accounts, driving substantial new business. The event not only energised the business travel sector but also reinforced IHG’s role as a leader in shaping a high-quality, sustainable corporate travel ecosystem.
A new era of business travel, strengthened by client connections
According to the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), global business travel spending is set to reach USD 1.57 trillion in 2025, with China contributing USD 373.1 billion as the world’s second-largest market. The 2024–2025 China Business Travel Management White Paper also reported that the Chinese business travel sector reached USD 406.2 billion in 2024 and will remain strong into 2025. Trends such as short-haul, frequent travel, the rise of “bleisure” (business + leisure), digital transformation, and sustainable travel are redefining the industry. In this context, IHG launched the 2025 Global Customer Appreciation Week to reaffirm its commitment to corporate partners—blending brand experiences, interactive engagement, and practical solutions to meet client needs and drive sustainable growth.
Leading the Way, Together, to create new value for business travel
This year’s Appreciation Week embraced the theme of “Leading the Way, Together.”, with five themed days and three core pillars reimagining the corporate travel journey. From brand discovery and loyalty recognition to productivity, sustainability, and emotional connection, the program highlighted how IHG is reshaping the future of business travel.
- Productivity that fuels growth
Flexible Spaces: Hotels across IHG’s portfolio showcased a wide range of venues that extend beyond traditional meeting rooms—from scenic lawns to poolside terraces, transforming spaces into lively hubs for networking and collaboration. Themed coffee breaks and thoughtful design further elevate the meeting experience.
Digital Empowerment: Through WeChat mini program IHG Corporate Travel Porta, IHG offers clients a one-stop B2B platform for seamless booking, multi-venue inquiries, and customised solutions. The platform also introduced Business Edge, giving SMEs access to exclusive corporate rates and cost-effective options.
- More awards, more experiences—rewarding loyalty in fresh ways
IHG deeply values the trust of its clients, who form the foundation of the Group’s long-term success. During Appreciation Week, IHG® Business Rewards launched 3X Points Campaign “Golden Autumn Bliss Privileges in Bloom”, members registering and booking by September 30 and completing stays before November 30, 2025, will earn triple points plus two Bonus Elite Credits Nights for every USD 3,000 spend. Clients booking for others through the Mini Program can also earn 2,000 bonus points for every 10 nights booked, up to 20,000 points monthly — a rewarding way to thank clients and reinforce lasting relationships.
