What you’ll be doing:
As the Growth and Transformation Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Velocity Frequent Flyer’s financial services portfolio. Your focus will be on driving strategic transformation by creating innovative product strategies and building ecosystem partnerships that position Velocity-linked financial services as the payment solutions of choice for our members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional transformation initiatives to elevate member experience, enhance product value, strengthen financial and partner performance, and drive deeper engagement with Velocity points-earning financial services products.
- Develop and deliver transformation strategies that integrate loyalty with financial services, including credit cards, co-brand cards, and transactional banking products.
- Drive product development strategies to strengthen VFF-linked credit card propositions.
- Use data-driven insights to improve profitability, customer engagement, and retention.
- Design strategic partnership frameworks with banking partners, payment networks, and fintechs to unlock new revenue opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Customer Success team to transform partnership models and deliver mutual value creation.
- Lead strategic market analysis to identify opportunities for transformation and competitive advantage.
- Develop compelling business cases and investment proposals to support transformation initiatives.
- Develop Virgin Australia group wide relationships and influence key stakeholders, to drive collaboration and support for FS initiatives
- Shape the future of the FS ecosystem for Velocity through new partnerships and strategic expansion opportunities.
You’ll be great in this role if you:
- Proven experience (7+ years) in strategic transformation and product innovation within financial services, loyalty, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of credit card economics and loyalty program design, with the ability to drive customer engagement strategies.
- Expertise in stakeholder management and partnership development, including experience working with card issuers, payment networks, and fintechs.
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale organisational change, with deep knowledge of transformation methodologies.
- Strong commercial acumen, including financial modelling, business case development, and strategic planning.
- Proven management consulting experience in Financial Services or loyalty industry
- Advanced project and program management skills, ideally with experience in agile environments and risk management.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or postgraduate study in strategy, innovation, or transformation highly desirable).
