About the job

Overview

How You’ll Make an Impact

As a Director of Business Development – Loyalty at Epsilon, based in Sydney, you will drive growth for one of our most strategic product verticals in the region. You’ll be passionate about securing new enterprise-level opportunities for Epsilon’s loyalty and customer engagement solutions, helping some of Australia’s most recognised brands transform how they acquire, retain, and grow customer relationships.

Your deep experience in loyalty and CRM will allow you to act as a trusted advisor to senior decision-makers — delivering tailored, data-driven solutions and influencing broader customer experience strategies. While your primary focus will be the Australian market, exposure to other markets across APAC will be highly valued, with the opportunity to support broader regional expansion.

You’ll also have the flexibility to sell across Epsilon’s full suite — including retail media, digital media, and data solutions — giving you the tools to solve complex client challenges with integrated, cross-channel solutions.

What You’ll Achieve

  • Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities for Epsilon’s loyalty and engagement platform across priority sectors (retail, financial services, QSR, travel, telco, and more).
  • Own the full enterprise sales cycle — from prospecting and pitch through to negotiation, contracting, and handover to delivery teams.
  • Act as a loyalty category expert, helping clients navigate loyalty program design, data activation, and customer value strategies.
  • Build deep relationships with partners across marketing, CRM, technology, and the C-suite.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to craft compelling proposals and solution strategies, ensuring alignment with client needs and Epsilon’s capabilities.
  • Stay on top of market trends, competitor moves, and regulatory developments (e.g., first-party data and privacy).
  • Support growth efforts in other APAC markets where opportunities arise, working closely with regional sales and delivery leaders.

Who You Are

  • A high-performing enterprise sales professional with 10+ years’ experience in loyalty, CRM, customer engagement, or martech.
  • Proven track record to sell sophisticated, consultative solutions into large organisations with multiple team members and long sales cycles.
  • Deep knowledge of loyalty program technology, data strategy, and personalised marketing — you’ve advised or sold into businesses redefining their customer experience.
  • Strong communicator and negotiator, with a natural ability to influence and close at senior levels.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to translate customer challenges into scalable, value-based solutions.
  • Proficient in CRM tools like Salesforce and well-adapted in pipeline management and forecasting.
  • Based in Sydney with a willingness to travel domestically and regionally as required.

Why You Might Stand Out

  • Experience selling into highly competitive, data-driven industries such as retail, banking, telco, or travel.
  • Previous roles at loyalty consultancies, martech providers, or customer engagement platforms.
  • Exposure to markets beyond Australia, particularly across Asia-Pacific (e.g., Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia).
  • Understanding of how loyalty integrates with CDPs, media platforms, and real-time personalization technologies.

Why Join Epsilon

  • Join a globally recognised leader in data-driven marketing and customer loyalty, backed by Publicis Groupe.
  • Play a key role in our APAC growth story, with the opportunity to make immediate impact and shape long-term strategy.
  • Sell a differentiated platform that connects loyalty, identity, media, and personalization in one ecosystem.
  • Work in a collaborative, entrepreneurial team with the backing of global scale, resources, and technology.
