We’re looking for a Head of Lifecycle Marketing to define, lead and deliver the strategies that activate and retain our fast-growing customer base.

You’ll report to the Head of Marketing and own the vision for how we use lifecycle marketing to drive growth and revenue. That means setting the strategy, inspiring the team and applying data in creative ways to bring customer journeys to life.

This is a role for someone who understands the art and science of lifecycle marketing, and can move fast to turn ideas into results.

You’ll likely come from a background in investment platforms, gaming or financial services – industries where using detailed data to engage, retain and monetise customers is second nature.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for

  • Building lifecycle programmes from the ground up: Establishing the tools, frameworks and journeys needed to activate new customer segments, starting with the integration of Virgin Money Investments customers in 2026.
  • Unlocking opportunities with existing clients: Identify and act on untapped segments across customer and product
  • Reporting and innovation: Regularly track and share the health of our customer base with the leadership team.
  • Leading the team: Establish a culture of pace, attention to detail and accountability for the numbers

Success in this role is grounded in:

  • The commercial uplift you deliver Owning revenue impact from lifecycle marketing measured by improvements in retention, cross-sell and customer lifetime value.
  • The creativity you apply to data Uncovering real customer insight — then using your ingenuity to turn those insights into journeys and campaigns that feel distinctively Octopus.
  • The speed and agility of your campaigns Delivering initiatives in days, not months. You’ll create a culture of pace, experimentation and attention to detail.
  • The leadership impact you make Your ability to set vision, create clarity and enable your team to execute with confidence, attention to detail and creativity.

What You’ll Bring

  • 10+ years in CRM, lifecycle marketing or customer growth, with a track record of leading teams and delivering measurable commercial impact.
  • Experience managing CRM migrations and tool implementations, ensuring smooth transitions while setting the business up for scale.
  • Strong creative instincts from subject lines and copy to end-to-end customer journeys that feel distinctively Octopus.
  • An eye for detail combined with the ability to move at pace: creating a centre of excellence in lifecycle marketing while delivering campaigns in days, not months.
  • A proven ability to balance data and insight with creativity, turning numbers into ideas that engage customers and drive results.
  • A background in investment platforms, gaming or financial services – industries where using detailed data to engage, retain and monetise customers is second nature.

In return for your contribution, we offer a base salary of £85,000 – £95,000 DOE + benefits.

Please note, as a regulated business we are required to run background checks for all employees which covers adverse financial and unspent convictions. These will only take place upon a successful job offer.
